The Beer Kitchen Test Series #4 By Innis & Gunn: Golden Ale

Introducing the next installment of The Beer Kitchen Test Series by Innis & Gunn.  You’ve probably noticed your toes are beginning to thaw out. Winter’s over and Spring is here, which is why we’ve been working on a delicious hoppy golden ale. This brew is full of floral, earthy tones, with a sweet & light malt flavour.

In this brew, we’ve used Fuggles hops, known for its earthy spice, along with Cascade, a citrusy aromatic hop from the other side of the pond. The Pale & Caramel malts bring together the malty & rounded flavour, along with that creamy golden ale texture.

At 4.1%, this brew is ideal for a Spring brunch, or an afternoon session. Packed full of flavour that doesn’t overpower, this is an ale you can drink all day.

Nose: Floral, Citrus, Straw
Taste: Malt Sweetness, Dry Spice, Earthy
Finish: Smooth with a sharp but easy-going bitterness.

We’d pair Test Series #4 with:

Starters/Bar Bites – Prawn Hoptail
Mains – Fish & Chips
Sandwiches – Ham Hock Sandwich
Desserts – Banana Bread Pudding
