Is there any better combination than curry and beer? We seriously doubt it. That’s why this National Curry Week, we’re thrilled to announce the return of our very own Beer Beef Curry.
We’ve made a deliciously beefy Rogan Josh curry, created lovingly with Innis & Gunn Original to bring all those rich caramel flavours together alongside the signature spices of the dish. There’s a reason we’re bringing it back… It’s absolutely delicious! Served with ‘IPA’ spiced red onion, rice and poppadoms, this winter warmer will fly out.
So, in the nature of National Curry Week, we’re going to let you in on our little secret… Here’s how can you make your own Innis & Gunn Beer Beef Curry:
To make your sauce, start by frying onions, chili and garlic in a pan with a splash of Innis & Gunn IPA until soft, then add all your favourite curry spices – madras powder, cumin, cardomom pods, coriander – and a dash of salt. Now, the important part: pour in enough Innis & Gunn Original to fully cover the ingredients in your pan. Bring it all to a boil and let it simmer through.
Then, in another pan, dice and fry your beef until perfectly brown. Once your beef is cooked through, it’s time to add your seasoned Innis & Gunn sauce. Pour the sauce over the beef and let the delicious flavours brew for 30 minutes over heat. For that extra creaminess, throw in a splash of coconut milk.
Now it’s ready to serve with rice, poppadams or naan, and a fresh pint of your favourite Innis & Gunn beer. Delicious.
